At UMB SNDA, we proudly host diverse events that meet our community’s needs. Our mentorship programs offer essential guidance, while outreach events foster collaboration. We also engage in community service to make a positive impact and host social events for. Join us in celebrating and supporting each other through these enriching experiences!
Welcome Back Cookout
When the semester begins, we host an amazing welcome back cookout to reconnect after summer break and to meet our new D1s. It's the perfect opportunity to have a blast and celebrate before the semester gets into full swing!
Induction Ceremony
At the beginning of the school year, we hold our annual induction ceremony to welcome new members into our chapter.
Help Sessions
We offer a range of support sessions for D1 and D2 lab courses, including Wax and Relax for Dental Anatomy, Drill and Fill for Operative, Endo Help Sessions for Endodontics, and Fixed Help Sessions for Fixed Prosthodontics Lab.
Impressions Day
Each year, we organize an event called "Impressions Day," where pre-dental students can explore dental school, get insights from current dental students, engage in hands-on activities, and participate in mock interviews and clinical practices, including impressions and Class I preparation among other activities!
Lessons in a Lunchbox
We also participate in "Lessons in a Lunchbox", a program created by local Maryland pediatric dentist Dr. Winifred Booker. We visit local elementary schools in the Baltimore area where we use the lunchbox as a fun way to teach kids about oral hygiene and nutrition. The program encourages good habits both for personal well-being and the environment
